Two colours one direction

On 1 st January, 2004 the Petrochemical Division of MOL Group intergrating Slovnaft a.s and TVK Plc. was established and started its operation, leaving the two companies legally independent.

July 1st, 2006 Slovnaft Petrochemicals, s.r.o the 100 % subsidiary of Slovnaft a.s. is the successor of Slovnaft, a.s. , continuing with production and sales of petrochemical products.

The strategic target of the group is to take the leading market position in its region due to the efficient operation of the Division. To achieve this target the production and sales activity of TVK and Slovnaft Petrochemicals were harmonized, increasing supply optimalization and improving product-portfolio. Thus, considerable synergy and efficiency-improvement can be reached.

With the completion of process-optimalization the product-range of both TVK and Slovnaft Petrochemicals have been streamlined to provide the competitive edge for our customers on their markets.

The common product portfolio includes LDPE, HDPE uni- and bi-modal, PP homo-polymer, PP block and random co-polymer types. As a result of capital expenditure projects implemented in recent years, the capacity of the two company to produce polymer has reached 1,200 kt p.a.

LDPE Low Density Polyethylene Low density polyethylene grades (LDPE) are produced by high pressure polymerisation in ICI autoclave and BASF tube reactors. TIPOLEN Tipolen is the trade mark of the low density polyethylene grades manufactured by TVK Plc., Tiszaújváros. BRALEN Bralen is the trade mark of the low density polyethylene grades manufactured by Slovnaft Petrochemicals, s.r.o., Bratislava.

HDPE Middle- and High Density Polyethylene The unimodal as well bimodal high density polyethylene types are produced in HDPE plants of TVK Plc. TIPELIN Tipelin is a registered trade mark for medium and high density polyethylene grades manufactured by TVK Plc.

PP Polypropylene Our products mix includes homopolymers, impact copolymers and random copolymers with the exception of terpolymers. TIPPLEN Tipplen is the registered trade mark for isostatic polypropylene produced by the Polymer Business Unit of TVK Plc.  TATREN Tatren is the registered trade mark for isostatic polypropylene produced by Slovnaft Petrochemicals, s.r.o., Bratislava.
