TVSE: European and World Championship medals
The leading athletes of the Tiszaújváros Water Sports Club (TVSE) grabbed podium places four times in 2007 at the various European and World Cups. Trained by László Jancsár, the member of the junior division, Fédra Szakolczay and her team mates won a gold medal both at the Marathon European Championship and the Flatwater European Cup. Attila Boros had been trained by Miklós Séra, who died after a serious illness in the autumn, got a bronze medal in the senior competition, as the member of the K4-500 meter division at the European and World Championships.
The new generation of the TVSE kayakers also earned medals this year at world cups; at the junior and U23 European Cup held before the Olympic Games Péter Molnár got the 2nd place in the 1000 m 4 person kayak competition teaming up with Rudolf Dombi, András Dobos and Gergely Hadvina. The following day this same team got the gold in the 500 m competition!
Congratulations to all the athletes for their 2007-2008 results!
