The Hungarian Chemistry Museum

It is our honourable duty to sponsor the museum of our industry! The Hungarian Chemistry Museum, the only museum in Central Europe dedicated to the science of chemistry, was founded in 1969. Its specialised library contains over 17,000 volumes.

The Hungarian Chemistry Museum, founded in Thury Castle in 1969, is the only museum in Central Europe dedicated to the science of chemistry, and houses a national collection in this field of interest. Besides its general industrial history collection of items and documents, its specialised library contains over 17,000 volumes.

Thury Castle was selected to be a part of the National Heritage in 1990, and substantial restoration of the building is in progress.
