Quality Management encompasses several coordinated activities which direct and control quality improvements in an organisation. Our certified management systems related to quality, environment and safety issues guarantee that our processes are carried out as defined in the standards.
Quality management – it is never late to start

Our Management considers quality as a decisive factor from the point of view of the Company; therefore it constitutes an important part of our strategy. At a well operating, successful company "quality" is not a task of a few people; it is indispensable that quality be a determinant in the work of all managers and employees. Every employee of the Company in his/her daily work promotes that "the name TVK should mean quality and reliability to our customers".
We have had a certified quality system since 1993, a certified environment oriented system since 1996 and OHSAS 18001 certified labor safety control system since 2004. The integrated certification of the three systems was launched in 2005 for the first time. The shift to the process based regulation system means the most challenging issue now over and above the operation as well as the improvement of the control systems.
Quality management at MOL Group-level
The application of comprehensive quality management tools contributes to the realisation of the strategic objectives of excellence and dynamism, and supports the improvement of operational efficiency and cost reduction through development of optimally regulated and reliable processes and provision of well-balanced product and service quality.
At corporate management level, quality management is embodied in the MOL Group-level quality policy, actual quality management principles and requirements, as well as implementation of programmes and actions initiated to realise the same. Within the framework of corporate-level projects, we carry out strategic initiatives, like enhancement of certified systems, improvement of the supplier management system, or preparation for using EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Business Excellence model-based self-assessment.
Redesign of standard based management systems along operational integration of MOL Group and based on its process and regulation approach is in process. This is the first phase of our long-term continual improvement plan of quality management.
Individual Chairman Quality Award was established as an element of top management commitment, which is awarded on yearly basis.
Assertion of TQM philosophy
Our continuously developed systems constitute the basis for quality development. Assertion and implementation of the total quality management (TQM) philosophy means a step forward in quality matters. As of 1996 we regularly carry out our self-evaluation in accordance with the EFQM Excellence model.
Our quality development activity and the results achieved are acknowledged not only in the market, but by the trade as well. In 1998 the Company won the National Quality Award in the category of large companies, in 2001 it achieved qualification of "Acknowledged for Excellence in Europe" when applying for the European Quality Award.
We do not regard our results attained to date as final, rather we set up new development options as we think together.
We permanently make efforts to settle and to sustain good partner contacts and to synchronize our development ideas. We rely on our customers’ and suppliers’ remarks, opinions and proposals.
TVK Plc. has been consciously measuring the customer satisfaction for long years. The purpose of this investigation is revealing of strengths and the areas to be developed and follow up of development. Following the analysis of information received measures are taken for developing of processes. The improvement of evaluation processes associated with suppliers and contractors is a priority.
Our systems and certification information
Taking into consideration the authority and customer expectations we had our investigating laboratories (Safety Technical Investigating Laboratory, Central Laboratory) accredited in accordance with MSZ EN ISO/IEC 17025:2001 standards.
We regularly and actively participate in the international and national standardisation work relating to quality management. We present our results and experience achieved in quality matters on the domestic and international quality conferences.
