AmCham certificate

TVK was granted a prominent international recognition, the AmCham Certificate in December 2005. This time the American issuers of the competition assessed our performance in the area of creating healthy workplaces as a high quality activity.

American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) started its program for healthy workplaces in 2003 with the conspicuous target to compile recommendations for healthy workplaces and to encourage employers to provide the surplus performance connected to it. The program was started by the involvement of 40 companies. Currently, it has 72 members, thus concerning 100 000 employees.

The Health Care Committee of the Chamber advertised its competition called the ’AmCham Prize for Healthy Workplace’ in 2005, to which 21 candidates applied in three (small, medium and large company) categories. The applications primarily had to include endeavors for health care, education for a healthy life and mental hygiene.

Following assessment, the prizes were distributed in the December of 2005 in Budapest. George W. Walker, the ambassador of the Unites States of America for Hungary, highlighted the relevance of healthy workplaces in his welcome speech. Dr. Jenő Rácz, Secretary of Public Health Care, called the attention to the relevance of Hungary’s public health care program and expressed his appreciation toward the program. After this, Dr. László Polák, President of the Health Care Committee of AmCham, published the assessment completed by the jury as well as the final results.  

For the first time, TVK Plc. applied for the prize last year. Following the discretion made in accordance with the strict criteria system we may say that our endeavors recently performed to create healthy workplaces were successfully presented in the application. Although, the first prize was taken by some one else, the performance and the application of TVK Plc. as well as its participation in the program were highlighted and recognized, of which certificate was provided in the course of a ceremony to Tibor Bujnóczki, EBK expert on behalf of TVK Plc.
