Environmental Protection

The European Union has established a more and more ambitious environment protection policy, one of the most important aims of which is the sustainable development meaning the compliance with current requirements of economic development without putting the quality of life of the following generations at risk.

An initiative relating solely to the chemical industry is the Responsible Care program, proving commitment of the chemical industry to continuous improvement of healthcare, safety and environment protection, in addition to disclosing such activities and results thereof.

We pay special attention to observing our environmental obligations, also indicated by the fact that last year HUF 1.0004 billion was spent on environment-related issues. The latter sum includes expenditure on environment protection projects, management of contaminated water and hazardous waste and elimination of damages at contaminated sites.

In selecting our suppliers and business partners, a major aspect is environment consciousness of the latter entities. Our suppliers must have an integrated control system and their products must comply with environmental and safety regulations. This is checked during supplier audits.
